How do young professionals afford to live in Manhattan?!! I'm looking around Greenwich Village.?

In the East Village, you could still find one bedroom for $2500 a month. The young professionals who could afford Manhattan usually work on Wall Street, or started off with a high paying job due to connections. For ordinary young professionals they share apartments usually with college friends. Just remember Manhattan and Silicon Valley, CA, are the epicenter of high paying jobs. Some earn so much money they move out of the Village to the Upper East Side.
