Why are Americans not as cly as British people...?

I know what you are trying to say, not that you are putting down Americans you just want to know why we dont respect ourselves as much as other countries? I would love to know the answer to this haha. But the best one I can come up with is that there is less respect for others in this country, our little children are learning this stupid stuff so fast and no1 seems to care....its all a respect issue!
